The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a global competition that tests the equity research, investment report writing, and presentation skills of university students. What do you have to do? Initially, you have to write a research report on a company listed on DSE to determine whether you should buy, sell, or hold the shares of that company . Later on, you also have to provide a presentation on your report. Attention the students of BUS-4123 ( Security Analysis & Portfolio Management ) who missed any one or more class tests.  A makeup test will be held on January 2. Details here:  Date: January 2, 2018 at 12:30 PM Syllabus: All theoretical topics of Chapter 5 and 6 (lecture note 1350 and 1360) Format: Theoretical questions, no math. Only those students, who missed any one (or more) of the following tests, are eligible to sit for this makeup test:  MCQ Quiz (held on September 25) 1st Model Test (held on October 25) 2nd Model Test (held on December 18) If you were present on all of the above exams, you are not eligible to give this makeup test and you do not need to come.

A demo solution to the assignment of BUS-4123 ( Security Analysis & Portfolio Management ) was provided to the CR (class representative) on December 28. Soft copy of the same can be downloaded using this method > This demo solution may be helpful for those who are facing difficulties in preparing the assignment.  Keep a photocopy of your assignment and submit the original copy on or before January 3, 2018 . You may need the photocopy later.

Final exam of Fall 2017 semester will start on December 21, and continue till December 30. You must bring your Admit Card in the exam hall. Beside, wear your ID card during the exam.  Also, don’t forget to bring your calculator! Visit the website of the university for detailed schedule.

Midterm exam of Fall 2017 will start on 27th October, and continue till November 4th. Detailed schedule is available on the website of the university . During the exam, wear your ID card and don’t forget to bring your calculator (except for BUS-2312 exam). Using mobile phone as a calculator is not allowed in the exam hall.

To prepare the students for the midterm exam, a model test is going to be held on BUS-4123 ( Security Analysis & Portfolio Management ). Details: Date and time: October 25, at class time Syllabus: Chapter 1, 2, and 3 Reference: Lecture note 1310, 1320, 1330 Exam format: Big and tiny little mathematical problems This news has already been announced in the class on October 23.
